HIVENT Central Extraction and Filtration Systems

What is the central filter system?

These are systems used for filtering various fumes and dusts with a fan + filter group positioned inside or outside the working environment. It can be used as a welding fume extraction system or industrial dust collection system.


Different types of installations are possible:

- Fume / dust extraction and filtration with multiple suction arms

- Extraction with multiple downdraft tables

- Thermal cutting tables (e.g. plasma, laser)

- Wall-mounted fume extraction units

In which cases should centralised systems be used?
This depends entirely on user preferences and technical limitations. In an environment with a large number of welders, mobile units may not be preferred if there is a space problem. Of course, investment and operating costs should be well calculated when making this choice. Centralised systems will generally require more investment costs and a lot of piping.

Innovative hall ventilation filter tower

In large areas where welded manufacturing, it is not always possible to filter welding fumes and volatile dust by absorbing them with local suction systems.

For this reason, some companies around the world produce ambient ventilation towers and ensure that particles and gas density in the environment become compliance with the laws and regulations related to occupational safety.

While some of these towers are absorbing particles at a lower level and filtering the high blowing method, some manufacturers give sucking from high to the work environment from below.

The second method works with the same logic as layer ventilation or displacement system.

However, in this system, the cloud of smoke accumulated in the remaining parts of the towers may visually disturb some users. And the particles accumulated at the height carry the risk of sprinkling again.

 

HiVent engineers have designed a mixed system by examining the advantages and disadvantages of these two systems for years. In this system, users can change the direction of return to the environment at any time.

When designing the product, we kept security at the forefront.

Despite the risk of burning of filters, the automatic fire extinguishing system is presented as standard in our product.

Since our fire extinguishing system is a gas type, it does not harm the machine and prevents re -exacerbation.

In case of a possible fire, the system operates the fire algorithm and extinguishes the fire. The user only renews the filters damaged by fire and continues to work.

Essentially, we have designed the concept of total interior air quality control, not a tower.

 

Users can observe the amount of particles and gas in the environment through the 10.1 ″ touch screen (digital model). In the software, the legal upper limits of these pollutants have been entered in advance and can be re -arranged when requested. When the pollutant level rises above the detected value, users are stimulated on the screen.

Thanks to PC and Mobile Devices Monitoring and Control (Version 2) feature, managers can monitor the inner air quality of the production hall instantly and file backward graphics and reports.

EC motor technology guarantees higher yield with lower energy consumption.

In addition, when the particle density decreases thanks to our software, the engines automatically start working at a lower speed and prevent unnecessary energy consumption. (Digital Model)

Again to reduce energy consumption, we have presented the timer system as standard (digital model). For each day of the week, it is enough to adjust the multiple opening and closing times.

Has the oxygen ratio in the study area fell below the legal value? No problem; The external air -taking feature will automatically activate (Version 2).

Smoke and particles may focus more in some regions in the study area. In this case, our OHK15 towers can help each other by communicating. While the tower in the area with less particles works at a low speed, it starts to work with maximum speed to help the other tower. The tower requesting help only passes to the top blowing option and direct the blowing nozzles to the tower and pushing the excess smoke towards that tower. Thus, while cleaning more efficiently, the filter life of the towers exposed to intense particles is also prolonged.

Innovative Ambient (Hall) Ventilation Concept

R&D studies were carried out entirely within our company. The system ensures that all volatile particles generated in the production areas are filtered in a way to prevent scattering and the ambient air is brought to a breathable value.

HiS, which absorbs and filters the polluted air in the environment, adapts to the principle of displacement ventilation by returning some of the cleaned air to the environment at very low speeds at ground level. Part of the cleaned air is blown through jet nozzles to the other HiS unit, ensuring continuous mobilisation of volatile particles.

 

Each HiS unit is equipped with a 1.3 kW EC motor. A composite fan with a maximum flow rate of 5000 m³/h is available. Nanofibre coated cartridge filters are at least F9 class. Filter cleaning system is fully automatic.

What is high vacuum?

For example; vacuum cleaners in our homes are high vacuum systems. In these systems, the air flow rate is lower but the pressure is very high. In these systems, blower systems are used instead of radial fans. When point smoke and dust suction is desired, high vacuum systems should be used. Very high pressures can be obtained thanks to the blower rotating at very high speeds.
 

Why do I need high vacuum units for industrial fume and dust extraction?

To give an example for welding fume; when fume extraction through the torch is preferred, a high vacuum unit must be used. Each torch manufacturer may have different values due to design. In general, at least 55 m³/h flow rate and 3000 pascal pressure will be required. When point suction is required in many processes such as grinding, soldering, laser marking, etc., a suitable high vacuum system is the solution.
 

Can more than one person use these systems at the same time?

Manufacturers design and produce systems that can be used by one person, two people, four people and even 20 people at the same time. For example; 4 fume extraction welding torches can be connected to our KH150 unit and used at the same time.

 

What type should the blower be?

There are blower types such as brushed, brushless DC and brushless EC. Brushed (coal) type blowers may be less durable. Frequent brush replacement is also required. However, for semi-professional or amateur use, you can choose products using this type of blower as it will be more economical. In products using EC blowers, for example, no additional equipment is required for speed adjustment. Many functions can be performed through the EC system and less energy consumption can be achieved.

Should the flow rate increase automatically as the filter fills?

It would be more useful to get this kind of machine. Machines that produce constant flow rate are available on the market. However, as the filter fills, the flow rate decreases. When you get an electronically controlled high vacuum unit, the machine keeps the flow rate constant. Until the filter reaches the saturation point completely.
